Every day people in our community are making valuable donations  to charitable organizations, community activities, schools, and faith-based organizations with the precious gift of time, energy and  special  talents.    With  today’s  tight  economic conditions, the need  for volunteers is even greater.  For the forty sixth year, the WLKY Spirit of Louisville Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization formed in 1978, is seeking to call attention to these outstanding volunteers who have taken the time to care.

Any volunteer living in the Kentuckiana area is eligible for a Bell Award.  Only one person may be nominated on a form.  Nominations for couples, groups or organizations are not eligible.
The WLKY Spirit of Louisville Foundation Board of Trustees will select ten Bell Award and two Youth Service Honor recipients based on the information provided in the nomination form.  The judges consider:

• The average number of hours volunteered
• The diversity of the Nominee's volunteer activities
• What defines this Nominee has an  "outstanding" volunteer
